Join RAD-Innovations this weekend at the Montreal Bicycle Show! The show starts Friday, February 21st and runs through Sunday, February 23, 2020. 

We'll be joining over 250 exhibitors at the Montreal Olympic Stadium for what promises to be a great three days. This is Canada's biggest cycling-related show, so we're excited to participate! Come check out all the bikes, trikes, equipment, accessories, clothing, and more! 

We'll be at Booth 301, right near the test track, and we'll have the ICE Full Fat, ICE Adventure, and HASE Kettwiesel recumbent trikes, the HASE Pino tandem bike, and our own RAD RaceRunner running trikes available for demo rides.

We're particularly excited to introduce our RAD RaceRunner running trikes to the cycling world - these trikes can be used for recreation or competition and are a wonderful aid to those who have mobility challenges, allowing almost anyone to walk or run on their own!

On Saturday, Pierre Julien will be joining us - he and his wife Claudette have logged thousands of miles around the world on their solar-charged electric assist HASE Pino. Come learn about his adventures and find out why the Pino is so well-suited for long-haul touring. Cornwall, Vermont – RAD-Innovations LLC™ is pleased to announce that it is accepting orders for the RAD RaceRunner™ running trike and will be shipping to North American customers in March 2020. There are four sizes available to fit a range of ages and body types. Base models are priced between US$1,550 and US$1,800 with additional features available to fine-tune the fit for the individual’s comfort and optimal positioning.

The RAD RaceRunner running trike is used by individuals who are challenged with balance, range of motion and mobility issues caused by conditions such as cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, stroke, or amputation, for example. A toddler with CP can be fitted to a small frame and run alongside their siblings, while a senior citizen rehabbing from knee replacement surgery or with balance issues can improve range of motion and strength using one of the larger sizes. The RAD RaceRunner running trike can be used in either recreational or competitive settings.

Adaptive and inclusive cycling is a great way for individuals with disabilities to enjoy the freedom of movement and mobility. Bikes and trikes can be modified in a multitude of ways to suit the needs of any rider. No two disabilities are identical, so each adaptive bike is unique. Cornwall, Vermont – August 22, 2019 – RAD-Innovations LLC is pleased to announce the introduction and availability of the RaceRunner running frame. The RaceRunner running frame is designed for use by individuals challenged with balance, range of motion and mobility resulting from cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, stroke, or amputation, for example. Athletes use running frames to compete in the sport of RaceRunning which is an internationally recognized disability sport. While RaceRunning is established in Europe and gaining interest in other parts of the world, its popularity has been slow to grow in North America.
 
The RaceRunner running frame is made of aluminum and similar to a tricycle without pedals that supports the athlete as they move. Despite significant physical challenges, most athletes can propel themselves on the RaceRunner running frame considerably faster than they can move unassisted. The low center of gravity and frame design offers stability and poise while running or walking. The saddle unit counteracts lateral sway and can also be used as a seat when at rest. The RaceRunner running frame rolls so freely that even someone who is restricted to a wheelchair can propel themselves by their own efforts.

Formerly known as the Long Trail Century Ride to benefit Vermont Adaptive, the 9th Annual Vermont Adaptive Charity Ride presented by Long Trail Brewing is coming up on Saturday, June 22nd! This fun and inclusive event is designed to raise funds for adaptive sports and recreation programs from Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports. The goal is to raise $300,000 for VT Adaptive programs. RAD-Innovations LLC™ is pleased to announce that they will be attending the event once again with recumbent trikes and tandems  for people to try out.

UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who came out to support Adaptive Trike Rikert at the launch party! We had a great time showing off the fat tire recumbent trike and talking to everyone about the benefits of adaptive sports.

The Adaptive Fat Tire Trike and Bike Program at the Rikert Nordic Center in Ripton, Vermont is raising funds to purchase a hand-pedal adaptive trike to expand the program to people with spinal injuries. ​

A "delta" trike is a recumbent tricycle with one wheel in the front and two wheels in the back. (A trike with two wheels in the front and one in the back is called a "tadpole" trike.) While tadpole trikes might be more popular at the moment, delta trikes have a lot of great advantages that deserve a closer look!
