FrameRunning for ALL is supporting runners in the Boston marathon 5K this coming weekend. Frame Running has been fast growing over the past several years and can be an excellent opportunity for any balance challenged individual to run in recreational or competitive settings.

Come see and support Sayers Grooms from Florida and Michael Anwar from Washington as they sprint through Boston on their running frames. Both Grooms and Anwar have been advocating for and competing in International Frame Running for the last number of years and are honored to attend this event.

The Kelly Brush Foundation is dedicated to making active lifestyles a reality for anyone with a spinal cord injury.

Through the Active Fund, KBF provides grants for individuals with paralysis caused by spinal cord injury to purchase adaptive sports equipment. They believe in the power of sport and recreation to foster inclusion and overcome the barriers of paralysis.

The Kelly Brush Foundation has helped over 1,900 people from 50 states purchase handcycles, monoskis, sport chairs, racing chairs, hockey sleds, and much more.

We'll be joining over 200 exhibitors at the Montreal Olympic Stadium for what promises to be a great three days.

We'll be at Booth 942, right near the test track, and we'll have the ICE Full Fat, ICE Adventure, Hase Bikes Kettwiesel, Hase Bikes Trigo, and HP Velotechnik Scorpion FS recumbent trikes as well as the new HASE PINO CARGO e-bike available for demo rides on the indoor track.

Here's your chance to try out some adaptive trikes at the Cycle 4 CMT event!

Cycle 4 CMT is a cycling/walking event to raise money to find a cure for individuals with CMT. CMT (Charcot-Marie-Tooth) is a progressive neurological disease, resulting in muscle atrophy and paralysis. Due to peripheral nerve damage, people with CMT are unable to effectively use the hands, arms, feet, and legs. CMT can be debilitating and severely disabling. To date, there is no cure.

From 2014 to 2021, partnering with the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA), Cycle 4 CMT successfully raised over $1,700,000!  Donations will continue to be used to support the development of new drugs to treat CMT, to improve the quality of life for those with CMT and ultimately, to find a cure! This year their goal is to raise $400,000 for CMTA treatment-focused research.

RAD-Innovations is a Vermont-based company that specializes in building adaptive inclusive bikes for people of all abilities. Their team of experts will be on hand to offer support and fit riders during the ride. There will be a variety of adaptive recumbent trikes and tandems, available by advance reservation if you don't have your own bike.

David Black had the opportunity to discuss Frame Running on the Cerebral Palsy Health Podcast with Jen Lyman. 

Jen talks with physical therapist and cerebral palsy researcher Theresa Sukal Moulton and Frame Runner manufacturer/vendor David Black of RAD-Innovations about the recreational and adaptive sport of Frame Running. A Frame Runner is an adaptive running frame that looks similar to a bike without pedals which allows individuals with CP to run or walk with minimal to no assistance. They discuss the history of Frame Running, who can participate, how it works, research to support it and how to get involved.
