Pedal-free control
A recumbent trike with hand cranks, the Hase Kettwiesel Handbike makes pedal-free cycling possible. The trike is equipped with a specially developed steering assembly that serves as the "drive unit" with hand cranks, bottom bracket bearing, and chain. Adjustable leg supports offer stability, comfort, and protection for the lower body. Onboard with ease The Kettwiesel Handbike is the right height for easy transfer from a wheelchair. Exceptional stability means it won't wobble when you're getting into the seat - or when the wheels are turning, even at higher speeds. Equipped for climbing The trike's rear-wheel drive offers excellent traction, especially on uphill climbs. The built-in differential transfers power to both rear wheels. Riders looking for more power can add a hub motor. The Kettwiesel is the most adaptable performance trike in the Hase Bikes lineup in terms of sizing and functionality. |

EQUIPMENT HIGHLIGHTS

Handlebar grips As with most bikes, the Handbike’s shifters and brake levers are mounted to the handlebar grips. The difference is that these grips also function as hand pedals. The controls are quite easy to learn. |

Hand cranks Available in two different sizes: 174 and 150 millimeter, which makes it possible to adapt the handbike to the rider for the perfect ergonomics. |

Flexible drive unit The hand-crank assembly is intelligently designed for adjustability. Its position can fit the rider's size and preferences by moving the support bar. It can also be folded forward to make it easier to get on to and out of the seat. |
