We hope you’ve been enjoying the summer on your bike or trike! We’re excited to share with you two great events coming up in September in Vermont: the Kelly Brush Ride and the Tour de Farms. Kelly Brush RideThe 13th Annual Kelly Brush Ride happens Saturday, September 8th at Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT. RAD-Innovations will be on hand offering test rides and support for participants. Look for the RAD tent - we'd love to say hello and show you some of our great bikes and offer any help you may need for the ride. This event raises funds to help individuals with spinal cord injuries to live an active lifestyle. Individuals and teams participate in 100, 50, 20 or 10 mile rides and commit to raising at least $100 for the Kelly Brush Foundation. Registration is $50 and includes an event t-shirt, hat, water bottle and tote bag, plus breakfast before the ride, a free Switchback beer and a ticket to the BBQ after the ride. Handcyclists participate for free! There are also prizes for different levels of fundraising, including clothing and passes to Sugarbush resort. You can register online through Thursday, September 6th. Walk-in registration on the day of the event is also available for $75 plus $100 fundraising minimum. Learn more about the Kelly Brush Foundation on their website. Tour de farmsThe 11th Annual Tour de Farms happens Sunday, September 16th with a new route starting at the Vergennes Union High School in Vergennes, VT. The tour features a 30 mile route with six farm stops, as well as a kid-friendly 10 mile route. More than 30 farms, food businesses and restaurants are participating, providing a variety of local food samples. The route includes some of the most scenic roads in Vermont’s Champlain Valley and ends at the Eat on the Green Food and Music Festival in downtown Vergennes, which is open to the public.
