We are delighted to announce that RAD-Innovations will be supporting handcyclists and other adaptive bike riders at the 12th Annual Kelly Brush Ride in Middlebury, Vermont on September 9, 2017. The event is attended by hundreds of cyclists and dozens of handcyclists every year and promises to be a great day! David and Anja will be on hand to offer fitting and support help, last minute adjustments and repairs, encouragement and moral support for riders. We’re excited to be able to support the handcycle and adaptive cycle community at this ride to raise funds for a great cause. The ride begins and ends on the campus of Middlebury College, at Youngman Field at Alumni Stadium. Riders can choose 20, 50 or 100 mile routes, all of which offer spectacular views of Vermont’s Green Mountains and the Adirondacks in New York across Lake Champlain. The routes are fully supported with clear signage, numerous water stops, and vehicle assistance. Maps of the routes can be found on the Kelly Brush Foundation website. Registration and rolling starts begin at 7am and the post-ride BBQ starts at noon. The routes will remain open and supported until 5pm. Interested in participating? You can register online on the Kelly Brush Foundation website, and participation for hand cycle riders is free! The Kelly Brush Foundation’s mission is to “empower those with paralysis to lead engaged and fulfilling lives through sport and recreation.” The Kelly Brush Ride supports that mission, and began in 2006 as a fundraiser organized by the Middlebury College Alpine Ski Team to support injured teammate Kelly Brush. The Kelly Brush Foundation has since helped over 425 athletes in 47 states, and helps protect thousands of alpine ski racers. We hope to see you there!
