RAD-Innovations LLC™ heads to Puerto Rico to help disabled veterans find adaptive cycling solutions

​Adaptive Adventures and the Puerto Rico VA Hospital are hosting an adaptive cycling clinic in San Juan, PR, and RAD-Innovations LLC™ and HASE Bikes USA™ are proud to participate!

The Caribbean VA Healthcare Adaptive Cycling Clinic Series, held from April 20-27, will provide cycling instruction and equipment fitting with the goal of providing disabled veterans with the skills to independently engage in community cycling programs and events.

​Registered participants will meet with Adaptive Adventures and the Puerto Rico VA Hospital CTRS staff on an individual basis to assess “safety, cycling abilities, endurance level, and proper fitting of equipment (upright, tandem, trike or handcycle).” In addition, small group sessions are offered to provide instruction on the benefits of exercise, motivational techniques, cycling skills training and practice, traffic safety, and dealing with mechanical failures and other emergencies. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about and engage in programs in their home communities.

David Black and Stu Lindsay will be there for RAD-innovations and HASE Bikes. They each have decades of experience helping cyclists of all abilities find and customize bikes, recumbent trikes and tandems to meet a wide variety of adaptive needs. They believe that cycling can have profound positive effects on the physical and mental health of anyone, especially those who may have limited mobility due to disabilities. David and Stu are proud to bring their skills to this event to work with Adaptive Adventures help disabled veterans.
