What is a RAD RaceRunner?
The RAD RaceRunner™ running frame is like a tricycle without pedals that supports runners as they walk, jog or run. It is designed for children and adults with balance or mobility issues to achieve their exercising goals - be it recreation, competition, or rehabilitation. RAD RaceRunners are frequently used by seniors and people with conditions such as cerebral palsy (CP), Parkinson’s, stroke, spinal cord injuries (SCI), or muscular dystrophy to propel themselves on their own and engage their major muscle groups.
The RAD RaceRunner can be used for recreation as well as competition. The sport of RaceRunning is an internationally recognized disability sport actively promoted by the Cerebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association (CRISPA). In Europe, where the RaceRunning community has developed for almost 30 years, local clubs provide valuable athletic and social opportunities for runners. RAD-Innovations is partnering with RaceRunning USA to build a similar club network in the United States. Learn more about the RaceRunning sport and local clubs.

with my ability, i'm worried that i may not be able to use the rad racerunner.
No disability looks the same. We are committed to helping you customize the RAD RaceRunner so that your ride is safe and comfortable. Please contact us to get a free assessment via phone or video call.
HOW DOES SIZING WORK?
The table below shows the general sizing options for the RAD RaceRunner, though many parts are adjustable and individual fitting varies. In an ideal position, runners should be leaning forward against the chestplate with the balls of their feet touching the ground and heels up. They should be able to propel themselves forward using gentle kicks without feeling unstable. Please contact us if you need help with sizing or fitting a user on the RAD Racerunner after your purchase.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED AND CAN I TRY THE PRODUCT at your store?
We are located in Cornwall, Vermont where we operate RAD-Innovations and a beautiful horse farm. Normally, we offer test rides on site. But due to Covid-19, we are only accepting appointments on a case by case basis. Please contact us to schedule a visit.
do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship internationally. Please contact us if you want to make a request.
Do you have a return policy?
We are a small family-owned business. While we understand that you may want to try the products before making a decision, offering free returns and shipping to everyone is not financially viable for us. We occasionally make exceptions based on individual circumstances. However, we offer free personal assessments and product demonstrations through video call before your purchase. Please contact us to schedule a session.
do you offer financial assistance or grants?
We do not offer financial assistance or grants, but some of our past customers have received financial assistance from non-profits or through their insurance companies. We may be able to help you find assistance. Please contact us to learn more.
is the rad racerunner wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The frames are wide enough for a person with a wheelchair to roll quite close to the seat. We also sell an optional droplink post that drops the seat for easy access from a wheelchair. The RAD droplink is available for purchase on our website.
