In partnership with the Vermont Department of Transportation (VTrans), the State of Vermont has announced a limited program for qualified individuals towards the purchase of select e-bikes and adaptive e-bikes. Subject to qualification of income and type of bike there is a $400-$800 incentive towards purchase.
Eligibility and Requirements:
Proof of Vermont residency
Proof of income
An Adjusted Gross Income of
$60,000 or less for an Individual filing as single
$75,000 or less for an Individual filing as head of household
$90,000 or less for a Married couple filing jointly
Purchase of a new e-bike, e-cargo bike, e-assist adaptive bike from approved Vermont bike dealer
Additional grants and subsidies are available from RAD and/or your local utility towards the purchase of select e-assist bikes. With the current programs and the purchase of a new bike through RAD innovations, it is possible to get up to $2000 in grant and subsidy on an e-assist adaptive bike.
