The Dual Drive is a combination handcycle and recumbent trike driven by both arm and leg power. Pedal freely with your feet and steer with the handlebar like a typical trike, but turn the hand crank and your feet will passively participate in “fixed gear” style. This hybrid mechanism allows the rider to distribute their energy over all limbs and rest their tired body parts.
Riders with diminished leg strength or coordination can pedal in full circles on the Dual Drive. Often, riders can improve their range of motion, blood circulation, other physical abilities, and gain a sense of independence from being able to exercise again.
