Rad-Innovations is proud to be a supporter of the Vermont Gran Fondo!
"Gran Fondo" is Italian for long distance or great endurance. The 2017 Vermont Gran Fondo is this Saturday, July 1st. It starts and ends at the Woodchuck Cider House on Exchange Street in Middlebury, and offers three beautifully scenic and challenging routes in between. When you're done, you can relax at the après ride party, meet fellow cyclists, and cheer the returning riders.

Rad-Innovations will once again be attending the Long Trail Century Ride to benefit Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports. This year the event offers 100, 60, 40 or 20 mile routes, a family friendly 5K, and mountain biking. There's also an apres ride party with live music, food and fun kids activities at the Long Trail brewery in Bridgewater Corners, VT.
The ride is Saturday, June 24th, starting at the Snowshed Base Lodge at Killington Resort in Killington, VT. Anja will be wielding her trusty wrench to help riders get their bikes, trikes and other equipment rolling. If you see her, be sure to stop and say hello! Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports works to empower people of all abilities through inclusive sports and recreational programming, regardless of ability to pay. Happy riding! Tricycles are a wonderful tool for getting exercise, getting outdoors, leaving the car parked or even getting off the beaten path. They offer much greater stability than a two-wheeled bike, and with modern technology, are more fun, fast and safer than ever before. But now that you’ve decided a trike might be your next ride, you’ll have to choose between tadpole and delta designs. But when it comes to tadpole vs. delta trikes, which is right for you?
Both common designs, tadpole and delta, have unique characteristics and benefits. Let’s explore both in more detail. RAD-Innovations is pleased to announce that it will be one of over 250 exhibitors at this year’s Montreal Bicycle Show from Friday, February 24 through Sunday, February 26.
When Camille Kohr wanted to ride bikes with her friends, her family turned to the team of adaptive cycling specialists at RAD-Innovations to be fitted for a Hase Bikes Pino.
Camille is a vibrant 15-year-old girl loving life with her family in California’s Bay Area. Like many girls her age, she says she enjoys things like miniature golf, bowling, camping and of course, riding bikes. But unlike many girls, the things she enjoys most aren’t always easy for her. Camille was diagnosed with a rare condition known as Dravet Syndrome when she was only a baby. She thinks and speaks a little more slowly, and experiences epileptic seizures. WALTROP, GER. – As the North American distributor for Hase Bikes, RAD-Innovations once again embarked on the annual pilgrimage to the Hase Bikes Dealer Workshop in Waltrop, Germany.
Approximately 150 dealers attend every year to get the latest technical training and education on some of the most cutting edge adaptive bikes and trikes on the market. Of course we find time for a little fun, too.
BRIDGEWATER, VT – RAD-Innovations was on site along side Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports Saturday, June 23 for the annual Long Trail Brewing Century Ride supporting adaptive riders participating in the event.
Anja Wrede, RAD-Innovation’s co-founder, was quick with a wrench and a smile to help set up bikes, trikes and other equipment to get riders rolling. Of the nearly 600 riders participating in the ride, 40 were adaptive cyclists. MIDDLEBURY, VT – RAD-Innovations will be displaying a Hase Bikes Pino in the Henry Sheldon Museum of Vermont History in Middleburg, VT, from June 23 through October 16, 2016.
The bike will be on display as part of “Pedaling Through History: 150 Years of the Bicycle, The Collection of Glenn Eames,” an exhibit the museum has produced to commemorate 2016 as the 150th anniversary of the first bicycle patent in the United States. |
